Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Warwick Farm.

Ghostly (Race 1) is now into the red at $1.95 after shortening 65 cents this morning. The Godolphin colt was runner up at Wyong on debut before heading straight to the paddock and should be ready to fire first up after two trials.

Calypso Bay (Race 4) is shooting for the hat trick and the punters believe he can do it, backing him in 80 cents to the verge of an odds on quote at $2. He faces a class test in the city today but has been impressive of late, scoring in a Wyong maiden then romping home by 7L at Taree last time.

Fortensky (Race 5) has been backed into favouritism at $3, more than a point shorter than his opening quote. The Waller-trained filly was a beaten favourite when resuming but had won her only other start and the punter are looking for her to improve second up.
