Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Thursday’s meeting at Gosford.

Babe In Boots (Race 2) is now into the red at $1.95 with TopBetta fixed odds having firmed a half point early. The filly has been placed at both of her runs so far at Kembla Grange and the punters are looking for her to take another step forward today.

Final Gaze (Race 3) has been backed into joint favouritism at $2.70, almost two points shorter than his opening quote. He ran on well to place over this distance last start and ran third at his only other appearance at this track.

Fanning (Race 6) opened at each way odds but is now the top pick in the market at $3.20 having shortened almost three dollar early on. He won first up at this course and again at Wyong and hasn’t been far away at his last two runs in town.

Sepoy Acheva (Race 7) is a well supported favourite at $2.15, which is 65 cents shorter than her opening price. She has placed at two of three career runs including a second at Randwick last start.
