Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Friday’s meeting at Geelong.

Lara's Web (Race 3) is a well-supported favourite at $2.40 having shortened 30 cents this morning. The filly had placed three times in a row before her last start and looks to have found a winnable assignment.

Fontein Ali (Race 4) could be worth an each way ticket at $4.80 having firmed two-and-a-half points. She may have found the mile a touch far last start so is better off at this trip and had placed at her two previous outings.

Starlight Sun (Race 5) still offers each way value having shortened 14 points to $7 with TopBetta fixed odds. He hasn’t been disgraced at lounger journeys at his past couple but may be better placed back in trip.

Zeusman (Race 7) has firmed in two points to $6 so is worth each way consideration. He returns to a course where he has placed at three of four visits and his lone career win came at this course.

Tycoon Kate (Race 9) has been heavily backed, halving her opening each way quote to take over as favourite at $3.70. She ran an improved race to place last start and the money suggests she is ready to strike.
