Nothin Wrong With Waller Runner At Canterbury

3 minute read

Done Nothin’ Wrong returns home to Sydney after some good efforts in Melbourne of late and looks well placed when he lines up in the Adina Apartments Hotels Handicap (1580m).

The Chris Waller-trained runner is back in both class and distance for this, having won three of his six races at the trip previously with a good record at the course having missed the money just once.

Done Nothin’ Wrong is up in the weights here but gets a much needed 3kg claim by apprentice jockey John Kissick and on recent form rates as the one to beat. He rates well on weight adjusted Timeform ratings and particularly his win at this course three starts back.

The five-year-old gelding has not drawn the best but should be able to settle off the pace with not a great deal of speed in this and only a field of seven lining up with three scratchings.

Kissick has had just the three runs for Waller finishing in the placings two of those three which includes a win. He is riding 13% winners this season and should be able to get the job done again today.

Letchworth Returned to the city in excellent order when making all over the Randwick mile seven days ago. Drawn well and should be rock hard fit at this stage of his preparation.

The Marc Conners-trained runner looms as the main danger on recent form and should get a good run from the inside draw.

Rose Of Scotland must also be respected in this despite not having been up to her best form in two starts this campaign. Will appreciate the drop in class for this and with the in form Nash Rawiller on board cannot be discounted.

Outside of these three runners Pendolin probably looks the best of the rest based on her win two starts back at Wyong. Was poor on a heavy track last start but will appreciate the step up in trip and has won her only time at this distance range.

Down in the weights will get a good run from barrier 2 and has each way claims in this.
