He generally gets back in the run and should handle the step up to 1800m for the first time today.
Indianapolis has been thereabouts in both campaign starts and should be right at his peak racing third up. The Gai Waterhouse-trained runner Is expected to relish the step up in trip and looms as a major threat from the good draw.
The four-year-old rates well on the back of his first up effort and was only 5.4L away from Toydini in the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes last campaign.
Perplexity also rates a mention in this having won two of his last three starts, the most recent coming at Canterbury over 1550m last start.
The Chris Waller-trained runner still has a bit to find on a few of these but is lightly raced and steps up to the 1800m for the first time.
Likely to be thereabouts and expect him to get back and run on well over the concluding stages.
There appears to be a handful of each way chances which includes the in form Kurtley who has won three of his last four outings, placing on the other occasion.
His last start win in open company at Dubbo brings him into it and despite being up in the weights gets a 3kg claim and can play a part in the finish.
Both Acapela and Animoso rate a mention on what they have produced of late and is the latter brings anything near his best form he can give this a big shake.
