Victor Ludorum has been retired to stud.
The Andre Fabre-trained G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains (1600m) and G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (1600m) winner Victor Ludorum has been retired to stud.
Godolphin's homebred son of Shamardal was unbeaten in three starts at two, including when beating a strong field in the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (1600m) at Longchamp. That said he also finished third to Mishriff in the G1 Prix du Jockey Club (2100m) and filled the same position behind the unbeaten Baaeed in the G1 Prix du Moulin (1600m) last month. The four-year-old won five of his 14 starts and over €790,000 in prizemoney.
Victor Ludorum is the fifth foal out of the winning and Group-placed mare Antiquities. The son of the late Shamardal will stand at Haras du Logis in Normandy for 2022, with a fee announced at a later date.
