Divissima Dazzles On Debut

3 minute read

Divissima put herself into the frame for the Karaka Million with her victory at Paeroa on Thursday.

The Mastercraftsman filly overcame her greenness to race away to a three length victory after sitting outside the leader to the turn.

“She’s got a lot of raw ability and when she learns more she'll be a serious racehorse,” rider Rory Hutchings said.

Trained by Michael Moroney and Chad Ormsby, Divissima also provided her connections, the Ballymore Ladies’ No.1 Syndicate, with a welcome change of luck.

They also raced the promising Xquisit, who was a runner-up on debut in November but had to be put down when she fractured a pastern in her second appearance.
