Cape Derby second Dynamic will miss the Champions Season in Durban after he was injured in a workout at Clairwood and will return to Cape Town.

Dynamic's trainer Justin Snaith said, “It’s very, very disappointing. I thought he was probably our best horse for the Champions Season.”

Dual G1 winner [Slumdogmillionaire is another big name out for the rest of the season after being found to have carpal tunnel syndrome requiring an operation.

Mike de Kock's Cape Fillies Guineas winner Rumya is also unlikely to race again this season and will not be a candidate for any of the big Champions Season races.

"She was injured and is just coming back into work now. We will ready her for export and if that does not happen she will come back in the spring season.”

The unbeaten New Zealand-bred filly by Red Ransom was last seen out in the Guineas at Kenilworth in December when she won the second G1 of her career.
