Champion South African trainer Justin Snaith plans to have his first international runner next year when he send In The Fast Lane to England.

The four-year-old winner of last season’s Cape Fillies Guineas and Woolavington, In The Fast Lane is already in quarantine and will spend the mandatory 90 days in Mauritius before being flown to the UK.

“She will have the winter in the UK and then we will race her there next season with me as the trainer. It’s very exciting,” Snaith said.

The champion trainer confirmed he plans to send other horses to England next year and will also open a satellite yard in Johannesburg to enable him to target the big prizes at Turffontein.

“They won’t allow us to have any more stables in Port Elizabeth so I have to look elsewhere,” Snaith said.

“It’s getting harder in PE every month but at this stage I plan to keep the operation there. I will have 26 boxes in Jo’burg.”

Stable star Legislate is also bound for export after running in the G1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate and the G1 J & B Met in the summer.

He is still on the easy list after his rough passage when winning the Vodacom Durban July on protest.

“We are taking our time with him and he is not yet back working,”Snaith said.

“There are no plans yet but he will probably start off in something like the Jet Master Stakes at Kenilworth on December 20.”
