UK: Queen's Filly In Tune For Five On End

3 minute read

The Queen's filly Set To Music bids to stretch her unbeaten run to five when she lines up for the Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster on Thursday.

The progressive filly takes her chance in Group 2 company after completing a four-timer in the Galtres Stakes at York last month.

That Listed success came at her first attempt at a mile and a half and she now goes up to the St Leger distance of an extended mile and three-quarters.

Michael Bell's charge is one of three three-year-olds in the seven-horse field.

Another is the Aidan O'Brien-trained Spin, who was fourth behind Set To Music at York. The second and third that day, Richard Fahey's Cracking Lass and the Clive Cox-trained Polly's Mark, also do battle again.

The third member of this year's classic generation is Goldplated, trained by John Murphy in Ireland.

The daughter of Selkirk has won four of her last five races and takes the big step of graduating from handicaps into Pattern company.

Meeznah, third in this race 12 months ago, bids to go two places better for trainer David Lanigan, while Dermot Weld's Sense Of Purpose completes the field.
