IRELAND: Return Bout In Irish St Leger

3 minute read

Fame And Glory will have a chance to gain revenge on Fictional Account in Saturday's Irish St Leger after the St Leger Trial winner was supplemented for the final Irish classic of the season.

Fictional Account was sent off a 14-1 chance when he overturned 1-3 favourite Fame And Glory over the St Leger course and trip last month.

The Irish St Leger was reduced from 32 to 13 entries on Monday including Fame And Glory's stablemate Apache, Jukebox Jury and Opinion Poll.

There are eight British-trained entries - Blue Bajan, Duncan, Jukebox Jury, Opinion Poll, Red Cadeaux, Ted Spread, Times Up and Meeznah.

Coventry Stakes winner Power is one of 10 remaining Ballydoyle entries for Saturday's Goffs National Stakes which was reduced to 18 possibles at the forfeit stage.

Power, narrowly defeated by La Collina in the G1 Phoenix Stakes, can give trainer Aiden O'Brien his eighth win in the National Stakes.

With easier ground likely, Jessica Harrington's Dragon Pulse, winner of the G2 Futurity Stakes last month, has been supplemented along with Jeremy Noseda's runaway Solario Stakes winner Talwar.

Other notable entries include the consistent Tough As Nails and Galway winner Riviera Poet.
