Turner will become only the second female jockey to ride in the Derby, after it was confirmed that she will ride Cavaleiro for Marcus Tregoning while .Aiden O'Brien has confirmed that his son Joseph would continue his partnership with hot favourite Camelot in the classic.

Turner follows Alex Greaves, who rode Portugese Lil in the 1996 Derby, finishing last of 20 runners.

Cavaleiro is at 100-1 for the classic but Turner is happy to take her chance.

"It's obviously nice to have a ride in the big race," she said.

"I won on him last year then I was injured.

"He ran in the Lingfield Derby Trial on the all-weather which was probably not ideal and I'm really pleased to get a ride in the race.

"He's progressing with age and I think is a horse who will suit the course as he's a strong traveller. He'll definitely stay."

Confirmation of the Derby ride on Camelot came for Joseph O'Brien after he celebrated his 19th birthday.

Aiden O'Brien said he was under no illusions about the challenge facing his son as he bids to follow up his success on Camelot in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket.

"Everything is fine and went well so far," said O'Brien.

"Camelot was always a special horse here from day one. He was always a very exciting horse.

"He is very relaxed and very straightforward but very calm."

At Epsom Derby entries Minimise Risk and Rugged Cross have enjoyed spins round Tattenham Corner in preparation for the classic.

Jimmy Fortune partnered Minimise Risk but he will be ridden by Jamie Spencer on the day.

Fortune rides second favourite Bonfire in the Derby.
