Andre Fabre's charge had been off the track since finishing second in the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket last October, with a reported splint problem delaying her return.

Back to full fitness now, Miss France was partnered for the first time by Frankie Dettori in the Prix de la Cochere and after showing some late pace, the four-year-old had to settle for second behind Sonnerie.

Three Group Three events had taken place earlier on the card with Vazirabad outbattling Big Blue to claim the Prix du Lutece while Taniyar lifted the Prix du Pin to make it a double for trainer Alain de Royer-Dupre and jockey Christophe Soulmillon.

The Carlos Laffon-Parias-trained Attendu just held on to the Prix La Rochette in the hands of Maxime Guyon.
