The winner of the six-furlong Tapeta contest receives a free and automatic place in the £150,000 All-Weather Three-Year-Old Championships Conditions Stakes over the same distance on Polytrack at Lingfield Park on Good Friday, April 14.

Kananee (Saeed bin Suroor/Kevin Stott) heads to Gosforth Park on the back of a cosy three-quarter length success over a furlong further in a Polytrack nursery handicap at Kempton Park on November 2.

The Exceed And Excel colt's only defeat came when finishing last in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot and he previously gained a pair of wins over five furlongs, including a comfortable debut success on Polytrack at Lingfield Park in April.

Saeed bin Suroor reported: "Kananee won nicely last time at Kempton Park. He had one or two issues after he ran at Royal Ascot but improved physically and mentally for the break and is in good form at the moment.

"He tries hard in his races and acts very well on an All-Weather surface. The step back down in trip should be no problem and he should run another good race."

Sutter County (Mark Johnston/PJ McDonald) also scored on his first two starts and the son of Invincible Spirit, who won a Tapeta maiden at Wolverhampton in March, drops down in class after coming home seventh in the G2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury in September.

Karl Burke runs three-time scorer Mutahaady (Ben Curtis), who was second to Kananee at Kempton Park, and recent Southwell nursery handicap second Parnassian (Joey Haynes).

The field is completed by Nuclear Power (William Muir/Graham Lee), who was a close third on his latest outing in a Listed contest at Doncaster on October 22.

There is also All-Weather action at Chelmsford City on Thursday, including the seven-furlong £20,000 Totepoolliveinfo.com Handicap (6.25pm).

A field of 13 is set to feature recent Kempton Park winner Chookie Royale (Keith Dalgleish/Shirley Teasdale (5)) and last season's 32Red All-Weather Fillies' And Mares' Championships Conditions Stakes winner Volunteer Point (Mick Channon/Shane Kelly).
