Alan King is eyeing a £50,000 handicap at Doncaster on January 28 for his long-term absentee Uxizandre.

Last seen winning the Ryanair Chase in March 2015, the JP McManus-owned chestnut has again been given an entry in the Cheltenham feature.

"He has got the Ryanair Chase entry and we will try to get him ready for the end of the month," said King.

"I don't really want to start him over two and a half and he might go to Doncaster on the 28th for a two-mile chase. When he runs, and wherever he goes, he will need it.

"I want to get him started as soon as I can. I am very happy and he is very close to coming back."
