Vroum Vroum Mag remains on course to defend her crown in the OLBG Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival on Tuesday.

The Rich Ricci-owned eight-year-old holds a raft of entries at the Festival, including in the Stan James Champion Hurdle.

But trainer Willie Mullins is likely to keep Vroum Vroum Mag against her own sex in a race she won by nearly three lengths a year ago.

Mullins told the Irish Times: "She is in the Champion Hurdle, too, and there's still a week to go so things can change.

"But the mares' race has been the plan all along for Vroum Vroum Mag and I would imagine that's where she'll go."

Mullins has also left in Limini as he bids to win this prize for the ninth year in a row.

Limini has no other Festival entry after connections decided not to supplement her for the Champion Hurdle.

Mullins still has a total of seven entries, with Airlie Beach, Asthuria, Augusta Kate, Let's Dance and Whiteout standing their ground after 28 remained at the confirmation stage.

Apple's Jade is Gordon Elliott's sole representative, while other Irish entries are Colla Pier, Jer's Girl and Rock On The Moor.

Colin's Sister, Lifeboat Mona and Rons Dream are part of the domestic team at this stage.
