Payne, who became the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup in 2015, is coming over to ride for fellow antipodean Jane Chapple-Hyam and does not expect her mount to be disgraced.

A Group Two winner in Germany, Kaspersky finished second in a Nottingham handicap last time out.

Payne was speaking in Newmarket at an event featuring most of the overseas contenders for next week's jamboree.

"I was in Newmarket eight years ago and it is great to be back again. It doesn't seem to have changed much at all," she said.

"Kaspersky is in fantastic order and Jane couldn't have him in better shape for next Tuesday. He is not the worst horse and it will be very exciting to have a go.

"I have been riding for 16 years now and have learnt to deal with nerves before a race. The main thing is to prepare as much as you can and do your best when the time comes.

"I am just trying to keep fit and in shape ahead of next week. My timeframe is still a bit out and I have been getting up at 4am to go for a run.

"I am going to watch replays of some of the horses I will be up against and also watch previous Queen Anne Stakes to get an idea of how the race is run.

"You need to do all your homework and be as prepared as you can be. I am looking forward to it."
