Elegant Escape, who justified trainer Colin Tizzard's faith when opening his account over fences at Newbury, could step up to Grade One company in the 32Red Kauto Star Novices' Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.

The five-year-old got the better of multiple winner Black Corton when taking the Grade Two John Francome Novices' Chase earlier this month after finishing second on his two previous attempts over the bigger obstacles.

Black Corton, trained by Paul Nicholls, is among the 14 entries for the three-mile heat formerly known as the Feltham Novices' Chase, as is Anthony Honeyball's Fountains Windfall, who fell three out in the Newbury contest when holding every chance.

Tizzard, who sent out Royal Vacation to score 12 months ago after the leader Might Bite came down at the last, also has West Approach.

Gordon Elliott has entered Death Duty and Jury Duty, but both have alternative engagements in Ireland.

Completing the list are Ami Desbois, Ballyoptic, Barney Dwan, Benatar, Flintham, Mia's Storm, Rocklander and Some Invitation.

The Unibet Christmas Hurdle was reopened until Thursday due to insufficient entries.
