Friday’s meeting at Fakenham has been abandoned due to the prospect of very quick ground.

A course inspection was held on Monday, with conditions reported to be firm in places.

With little prospect of rain in the coming days, the going will only get quicker and as Fakenham only has a licence from the Environment Agency to water the course from March 1, that is not an option.

Only six millimetres of rain have fallen at the track in the past four weeks.
