Sam King landed winning selections at Sligo and Musselburgh yesterday and he's back with four selections to whet the appetite on this bank holiday Monday…

Our first selection comes from the Curragh and Neo Smart, catches my eye in the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Maiden (1.20). Although she faces some interesting newcomers Jim Bolger's filly looks the one to side with. She showed bundles of promise when runner-up over the 5f here on debut and shaped as though the step up in trip would suit. The daughter of Belardo should improve plenty for that experience and she's expected to take some stopping second-time-out.

Selection: Neo Smart – General 11/8

The second selection comes from Beverley and I'm expecting River Usk to take some beating in the In The Box With Martin Spencer Handicap (3.28). Richard Fahey's charge maybe 0-6 but has posted some good efforts in defeat, including when runner-up over 6f on heavy ground at Catterick last-time-out. The step back up in trip looks in his favour and with ground conditions to suit he looks the one to side with off an unchanged mark.

Selection: River Usk – General 6/4

Kempton is the port of call for our third selection and Queens Rock looks like a strong contender Donate Food To Your Local Foodbank Handicap Hurdle (4.15). Nicky Henderson's runner looked like a smart mare when bolting up on handicap debut at Doncaster last outing. The six-year-old faces an 11lb rise for that success but looked potentially pattern class in the making. She was withdrawn in Listed company at Cheltenham on the vet's advice and if connections are expecting her to be up that level, then she ought to be winning this off a mark of 120 with the ground to suit.

Selection: Queens Rock – General 15/8

Our fourth and final selection comes from Windsor and Jack Channon may be capable of adding to his recent good form (3-14, 21% in the last 14 days) with Indian Creak. The six-year-old gelding shaped as though he needed the run when sixth over course and distance on reappearance and it would be no shock were he to take a sizeable step forward here. He won over the track and trip off 85 last summer and with Rose Dawes booked to claim 5lb he's now effectively 10lb lower. The three-time course and distance winner has a healthy record of 4-15 in Class 4 company and looks like being capable of getting back to winning ways.
