Wednesday’s Tipperary card features the 5f Listed Tipperary Stakes, which has attracted a field of nine speedy juveniles and Aidan O’Brien’s sole representative Alabama currently heads the betting.
The No Nay Never colt is searching for a maiden success after some solid performances, including a fifth in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot, where blinkers were applied for the first time. Although the colt was slowly into stride, he made good headway under Wayne Lordan two furlongs out on the far side rail and finished first of his group. The blinkers seem to have made a difference for the colt and this race represents an easier task than the Royal meeting.
Paddy Twomey's filly Gunzburg backs up quickly after her second in the Group 2 Airlie Stakes behind Matrika over Irish Derby weekend at the Curragh. Her maiden success at Down Royal came on her sole attempt over five furlongs and she appeared to find six furlongs a touch too far when holding on for second in the Group 2. The drop back in trip is a positive for this daughter of Sioux Nation.
Tiger Belle out-ran expectations for trainer Adrian Mcguinness on debut when scoring by a neck in a fifteen runner Cork maiden on good ground. She took on tougher competition over course and distance subsequently but could only manage second behind Supersonic Man after attempting to hang left in the closing stages. The form of the Tipperary race is not strong, with Supersonic Man failing to get involved in either the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes or the Group 2 Railway Stakes at the Curragh.
Newmarket-based trainer Alice Haynes brings over the experienced Ziggy's Dream in search of a Listed success. A debut winner at Doncaster in late April, the filly has failed to fire in either of her runs in Group company. She was a well-beaten ninth in the Group 3 Prix du Vois at Chantilly last time, but the yard isn't in good form (1-27 from last fourteen days), and she would need to overcome plenty of negatives to go close.
Gaenari holds the least experience in the field with only one run. The Diego Dias-trained filly wore a hood on her debut at the Curragh in a seventeen runner maiden and surprised with a big performance, finishing a neck second behind Nemonte. She ran very green in the closing stages and should come forward considerably for the experience.

In the 7½f Glenvale Stud Race (6:10), Ger Lyons' Spanish Flame may prove difficult to beat after a six length success at Roscommon. He posted a professional performance, taking the lead at the one furlong before drawing clear of the field. Pedigree enthusiasts will be interested to see the debut of Bremen from the Joseph O'Brien yard, who is a full-brother to Royal Ascot winner Warm Heart.
Sixteen runners line up in the 1m1f @Tipperaryraces Handicap (7:10) for three-year-olds and Jessica Harrington's Miss Yvonne heads the betting with first-time cheekpieces applied. She tries this distance for the first time after staying on well at Limerick over a mile and her only previous run at 1m2f on seasonal reappearance can be ignored.
