Kylian overcame a troubled passage to win the 5f Listed Dragon Stakes in impressive style at Sandown Park on Friday.
At the two furlong marker, jockey Ryan Moore found himself with nowhere to go behind a wall of horses and was forced to take the Karl Burke-trained colt round the field to get a run. Once finding clear air, Kylian accelerated away from the field in decisive fashion to win easily by six lengths. Hackman stayed on for second with Nazalan third.
In a post race interview with Racing TV, jockey Ryan Moore said: "He obviously took his first couple of races and was maybe slightly disappointing. He won an ordinary race at Newcastle but he felt like a horse that was still learning, even today.
"He picked up really well and I was cery impressed by him. As soon as I got to the front, he felt like he shouldn't have been there and even pulling up, he didn't want to go over the road, something caught his eye. He's not sure what he's here for yet so he's an exciting horse."
