Racing from Wolverhampton returns this afternoon with some competitive action on the Tapeta. The Download The At The Races App Handicap at 3.40 features some fairly inconsistent sorts (as expected for Class 6 level) but that certainly cannot be said about Spanish Angel, who has found the frame on five of his last six outings.

Ruth Carr's six-year-old looks like by far the most solid option in this Class 6 handicap sprint. A mark of 65 is certainly no issue given he was denied a short-head off this mark on the all-weather at Chelmsford back in May and he arrives following a rock-solid effort when runner-up on turf (rated 10lb lower) at Thirsk just six days ago.

The drop back to five furlongs looks like a positive after that good run at Thirsk and this dual course scorer could take some stopping with a decent early position likely from stall five.

Selection: Spanish Angel – General 5/2

The concluding At The Races App Expert Tips Handicap at Wolverhampton (5.55) looks short of front runners and that could play into the hands of Spartakos.

The Katie Scott-trained runner arrives following two solid placed efforts over course and distance including when denied a head in classified company last time. The form of his third-place finish prior reads well for the grade with the winner scoring subsequently and the runner-up filling the same spot at Newcastle next-time-out.

Jason Hart should get the perfect opportunity to go forward from stall three given he's on the only confirmed front-runner in the field and Katie Scott's charge should take some pegging back with an easy lead likely.

Selection: Spartakos – General 9/2

We head to the seaside for our third and final wager. The Follow AtTheRaces On Twitter Fillies' Handicap at Brighton (8.00) sees seven go to post and Film Star looks to have every chance of following up on his recent course and distance success.

Sir Mark Todd's unexposed three-year-old finished a good runner-up over track and trip (Firm) on her handicap debut before going one better here last-time-out. The one-and-a-half-length winning margin probably doesn't tell the whole story and in truth, she was always in command from a long way out.

A 5lb rise in the weights looks manageable with further progress on the cards and conditions will prove no issue given both runs in handicap company have come on firm and soft.

The booking of top apprentice Billy Loughnane looks a positive with the young rider having enjoyed plenty of success at Brighton recently and I'm surprised Sir Mark Todd's filly is freely available at around the 11/4 mark to complete a seaside double this evening.

Selection: Film Star – General 11/4
