Both Royal Ascot winners Courage Mon Ami and star three-year-old stayer Gregory remain in contention for the Goodwood Cup next Tuesday, although a decision will be made closer to the time regarding their participation said John Gosden.

The former battled on in tremendous fashion to land the Ascot Gold Cup while the latter displayed his talent as an up-and-coming stayer when taking the Queen's Vase under Frankie Dettori.

John Gosden said: "At present, both horses will be left in the race and then we will make a decision nearer the time whether one of them runs or they both run."

Amongst the Wathnan Racing-owned duo is the Aidan O'Brien-trained Emily Dickinson, who returned to winning ways with a commanding three-length success in the Group 2 International Curragh Cup last weekend and Ascot Gold Cup runner-up Coltrane.

2022 St Leger Stakes winner Eldar Eldarov also remains in contention for Newmarket-based handler Roger Varian while his Yorkshire Cup conqueror, Giavellotto, also looks likely to make his first appearance since that success back in May.

Aidan O'Brien has also left in Broome, Bolshoi Ballet, and Irish Derby runner-up Adelaide River.

The confirmations are rounded out by Quickthorn, Lone Eagle, Ocean Wind, Tashkhan, and Enemy.
