Ffos Las hold one of two Flat fixtures on Tuesday afternoon, with a small but competitive six-race card including two maidens.
In the 7½f Class 4 Forever Puppy / EBF Maiden Stakes (GBB Race) (3:05), a field of eleven line up with mixed experience levels. David Menuisier's Devil's Point is a half-brother to the Group-placed performer The Acropolis and made a solid start to his career when fifth at Sandown Park. He broke slowly from the stalls and had to make up ground quickly to take up a prominent position, finding no extra in the final furlong and drifting left. The New Bay colt should have learnt plenty from the experience and a win looks well within his grasp.
It may be worth considering Amo Racing's Miami Heat, especially if the colt finds more for the additional stamina test. He ran green on debut at Pontefract when beaten five lengths and struggled to hold on when attempting to make all in a hot six-furlong Ascot maiden subsequently. The family have generally performed best over seven furlongs and he may hold some value with uninspiring form figures so far.

Only four line up for the 7½f Class 5 Business Finance Direct / EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes (For Horses In Bands C And D) (GBB Race) (4:15) and it appears to be the perfect opportunity for O G Beachwear to break her maiden with Oisin Murphy aboard. The Washington DC filly has been beaten less than two lengths in all her three starts to date, including a good third over the same distance at Chester in early July. She likes to sit prominently and Oisin Murphy could dictate terms in a small field.

Saffie Osborne recorded her first British Group race success at Ascot a couple of weeks ago and can add to her recent tally in the 7½f Class 6 Christine Bielby Memorial Handicap (3:40) with Kynsa. The lightly raced three-year-old has improved with each of her five starts and the pair united for a Chelmsford all-weather third over seven furlongs at the start of June. The filly subsequently finished second under Nicola Currie in a seven-furlong Carlisle event on good-to-soft ground and it will be interesting to see if she can improve for the step up in trip and soft ground. The daughter of Make Believe is a full-sister to Group 3 Meld Stakes winner Self Belief and a half-sister to Group 3 Concorde Stakes victor Statement.

In the four-runner 1m2f Class 6 3A's Leisure Carmarthen Handicap (4:50), Night Moon is tipped to improve on his career performances to date. The gelding is a full-brother to Listed winner Sea The Moon, who also commenced her career in Ireland before switching to France. Although he showed little in his first four outings, the three-year-old appeared an improved horse when fourth in a fifteen-runner Killarney handicap in mid-July, only losing out on third place in the dying strides. Soft ground seemed to bring out the best in Night Moon – his only previous run on soft ground resulted in a poor performance, but he was hampered early on – and it is notable that David Marnane is bringing the son of Sea The Moon over from his base in County Tipperary.
