Sam King returns with two selections from Worcester this evening.

It's probably fair to say Tuesday's offerings aren't the most exciting with two summer jumps cards standing alongside a seven-race meeting on the flat from Roscommon across the Irish Sea. Nevertheless, there look to be two decent bets at Worcester tonight and hopefully, they can help bolster the punting pot for what looks sure to be a cracking week racing at York.

There should be plenty more to come from Sforza Castle and I'm expecting him to take some stopping in the Phil & Janet Robinson 41st Wedding-Anniversary Maiden Hurdle at 7.30. He built on a fair fourth-placed finish in a novices' hurdle at this venue when third at Market Rasen last month.

The lightly-raced five-year-old shaped as though he was ready for this step up in distance last time. The son of Milan looked like he was going to fade away out of contention once headed at Market Rasen but stuck on well all the way to the line and will definitely get further in time.

This doesn't look much more competitive than what he faced last start and at a general price of 9/4, he seems a spot of value to get off the mark.

I'm hoping a fellow son of Milan can strike in the finale (8.00) and the early market support behind Karavomylos only boosts confidence.

He's looked like a reformed character since being stepped up in trip in recent starts and backed up his snug Uttoxeter success with a staying on third-place finish over this course and distance forty-three days ago.

The Peter Bowen-trained runner doesn't appear to do much once hitting the front and the application of first-time cheekpieces can see him show improved form once more. Sean Bowen has been in excellent form over the summer jumps season thus far and can gain another success for his father here, with Karavomylos getting back to winning ways racing off the same mark.
