The Group 1 7f Prix Jean-Luc Lagardare and the 1m Prix Marcel Boussac include some of the best two-year-olds from across Europe and some of the most interesting pedigrees. Instead of focusing on form, it could pay to concentrate on a breeding angle.

Zabiari (Wootton Bassett x Zaridiya)
Wootton Bassett appears to have been a shrewd purchase by Coolmore as the stallion continues to fire in the winners. This Aga Khan-owned and bred colt is the first Black Type performer out of Zaridiya, who was seen to best over effort over a mile during her racing career, including a second in the Listed Prix de Lilas as a three-year-old.
Rosallion (Blue Point x Rosaline)
By first-season sire Blue Point, Rosallion is owned and was bred by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum out of a New Approach mare, Rosaline. The unraced dam boasts an exceptional pedigree, as a sister to seven Black Type performers including Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes winner Triple Time (Frankel) and Group 3 Bengough Stakes victor Cape Byron (Shamardal).
Unquestionable (Wootton Bassett x Strawberry Lace)
Bought by MV Magnier at Arqana's Yearling Sale for 340,000 euros in 2022, Unquestionable is the second raced foal out of Strawberry Lace (Sea The Stars). The second dam Crying Lightening (Holy Roman Emperor) was precocious enough to place at Listed and Group company as a juvenile and trained on into her three-year-old year, winning the Listed October Stakes at Ascot.
Beauvatier (Lope De Vega x Enchanting Skies)
This Lope De Vega colt is the first raced foal out of Sea The Stars Listed-placed mare Enchanting Skies, who hails from a very good German family. The second dam Estefania (Acatenango) produced four Black Type performers, including Group 1 Preis von Europa winner Empoli (Halling).
Henry Adams (No Nay Never x Jigsaw)
Bred by the O'Brien family, Henry Adams is the first Black Type performer out of Galileo mare Jigsaw, who is a full-sister to Aidan O'Brien's Group winner Mohawk.
West Man (Areion x Wild Approach)
The German-bred West Man hails from a Black Type-laden pedigree, with dam Wild Approach (New Approach) producing Black Type performers with both her race foals. West Man is a half-brother to Wild Man (Mastercraftsman), who raced only once as a juvenile but placed in the G3 German Derby Trial at three.
Jayarebe (Zoffany x Alakhana)
Jayarebe's dam Alakhana (Dalakahani) was owned and bred by the Wertheimer family and was successful on the track, winning the Listed Prix Joubert as a three-year-old. Despite the pedigree not obviously stamina-laden, Jayarebe is a half-brother to Cheltenham Grade 3 juvenile hurdle winner Malakahna.
Evade (Wootton Bassett x Angel Falls)
Wootton Bassett colt Evade is a half-brother to multiple Black Type performers, including Champion Two-year-Old colt in France National Defence, who won the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardare in 2016 when run at Chantilly. His dam Angel Falls is a half-sister to Anna Salai (Dubawi), who is best known for producing Derby hero Adayar.
Ballymount Boy (Camacho x Kasalla)
By sire Camacho, whose best progeny has been the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches winner Teppal, Ballymount Boy is out of an unraced Footprintsinthesand mare Kasalla, who comes from the family of Group winner Provolino.
Native American (Sioux Nation x Pencarrow)
Native American is out of the Godolphin-owned Pencarrow (Green Desert), who has produced two individual winners from four raced foals. She is a half-sister to Listed winner Tenenbaum, who also finished third in the 1m7f Prix Chaudenay.

Zandy (Frankel x Environs)
By Frankel, Zandy is the first foal is out of Listed winner Environs (Dansili), who is a full sister to Australian stallion Delaware. Delaware was a Group 3 in France over a mile and achieved Listed success in the US before ending his career in Australia.
Freville (Gleneagles x Freaville)
A daughter of Coolmore's Gleneagles, Freville is out of an unraced daughter of Listed Prix Miss Satamix winner Fresles. Freville is Freaville's (Le Havre) first foal.
Rose Bloom (Lope de Vega x Xaarienne)
Bought for 320,000 euros by China Horse Club, Rose Bloom is a half-sister to multiple winners including Prix Six Perfections winner See The Rose (Kendargent). The dam Xaarienne (Xaar) was Listed placed as a juvenile in France.
Les Pavots (No Nay Never x Sparrow)
The beautifully bred Les Pavots is out of the juvenile Group 2 placed Sparrow, which makes her a half-sister to top-class middle-distance performers Sir Dragonet and Lord Lucan. Grand-dam All Too Beautiful is a full sister to Galileo and a half-sister to Sea The Stars.
Voodoo Magic (Wootton Bassett x Fille Du Septembre)
Bought for 170,000 euros as a yearling, Voodoo Magic is out of five-furlong juvenile winner Fille Du Septembre (Choisir). The dam comes from a sprinting pedigree, as a half-sister to multiple juvenile winners.
Ribaltagaia (Blame x Silk Assassin)
The US-bred Ribaltagaia was a reasonable 40,000 dollar purchase as a yearling and has an unusual pedigree for a European-raced juvenile. The second dam Super Expresso finished third in the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps Stakes at Belmont and produced two individual winners.
Darnation (Too Darn Hot x Monday Monday)
By first season sire Too Darn Hot, Darnation is the first foal out of the unraced Monday Monday (Galileo). Owned and bred by Coolmore, Monday Monday is a half-sister to 1000 Guineas winner Blue Bunting and a full-sister to the useful Exemplar.
Extroadinaire (Intello x Eiriamach Na Casca)
Bought for 35,000 euros as a yearling, Extroadinaire hails from the family of 1000 Guineas winner Haatoof. She is out of an unraced half-sister to Group 1 Irish Derby winner Trading Leather, who suffered a fatal injury in the Grade 1 Japan Cup at the end of 2014.
Opera Singer (Justify x Liscanna)
Opera Singer is from a proven Coolmore family and is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Hit It A Bomb and Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Brave Anna in addition to two other Black Type performers.
Julica (Kendargent x Miss Rail Link)
Julica holds an unusual pedigree for a Marcel Boussac filly, being out of hurdle winner Miss Rail Link (Rail Link). That said, she has produced two individual winners over middle distances, including the 2023 Listed Grand Prix de Craon second Aude.
