Jumps racing continues to dominate on Wednesday with three fixtures in the UK, whilst Ireland hosts an all-weather flat meeting at Dundalk.
Our first selection comes from Hereford, where Magic Seven is tipped to overturn hot favourite Reverend Hubert in the 2m3½f Class 4 Get Emma's Offers At planetsportbet.com Novices' Hurdle (12:20). Whilst the favourite boasts plenty of experience and solid form, the Jonjo O'Neill-trained Magic Seven made a winning start to his hurdling career when scoring by nine-and-a-half lengths over course and distance at the start of the month.
The five-year-old was a bumper winner at this track in 2022 and appeared to benefit for the switch to obstacles despite some novicey errors in places. Ridden by Jonjo O'Neill Jr., he took the lead with two flights to jump and pulled clear coming into the last. The experience over the course could be imperative and the gelding appears to have plenty of improvement to come.
WIN – MAGIC SEVEN – 9/4
We remain at Hereford for our second selection, where Flight Of Freedom appears to be the bet in the 2m3½f Class 4 Bet £10 Get £10 At PlanetSportBet Mares' Handicap Hurdle (Challenger Mares' Hurdle Series Qualifier) (2:35). Currently third favourite in the market at 10/3, the Emma Lavelle-trained mare switches to handicaps after a promising seasonal return where she recorded an easy eight-and-a-half length win at Warwick in a mares' novice hurdle over two miles.
She followed it up with a good second at this course in a similar event, and although it seemed that the mare had no chance with the winner, she did make a mess of the final flight which wiped out any opportunity of getting closer than the recorded thirteen length margin. It was also reported post-race that Flight Of Freedom lost a left-fore shoe. Tom Bellamy gets back in the saddle (ridden on all but one of her five starts) and she appears to have a strong chance in a competitive contest.
SELECTION – FLIGHT OF FREEDOM – 3/1
