Gaelic Warrior was a surprise absentee from declarations for day one of the Dublin Racing Festival this weekend.
The Willie Mullins-trained novice chaser was expected to take on Marine Nationale in Saturday's Goffs Irish Arkle Novice Chase, but the gelding did not feature amongst declarations, with Facile Vega, Il Etait Temps and Sharjah instead lining up for the yard.
Elsewhere on the card, Galopin Des Champs could have a straightforward warm-up before a repeat bid in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, with only three opponents in the Paddy Power Gold Cup. He will take on Fastorslow, who has defeated the Gold Cup winner on their last two meetings, Irish Grand National victor I Am Maximus and Conflated.
Other notables stars at Leopardstown on Saturday include A Dream To Share, who will be bidding for unprecedented back-to-back victories in the Donohue Marquees Future Stars Flat Race, and Gordon Elliott's Kala Conti in the McCann FitzGerald Spring Juvenile Hurdle.
