Wales & The West enjoyed a successful evening at their 'home fixture' at Chepstow on Thursday evening, recording three wins in the third leg of The Racing League competition. All three victories were delivered by jockey Saffie Osborne, winner of the leading jockey title for the last two years, and the success propelled her to the top of the standings again. The East remain seven-and-a-half points ahead of Wales & The West ahead of the fourth fixture.

Inspiral will face seven opponents in search of a historic third success in the Group 1 Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville on Sunday. The five-year-old mare, trained by John and Thady Gosden, will be partnered by Ryan Moore for the first time after owners Cheveley Park Stud made the decision to end the short association with Kieran Shoemark. Her main opponent is likely to be Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes winner Charyn, who has made significant progress as a four-year-old, but there are other interesting runners – including Group 1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains hero Metropolitan and the improving Quddwah.

It will be a busy Saturday across the UK and Ireland with multiple intriguing contests at different racetracks. Highlights including the annual Shergar Cup meeting at Ascot, the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes – headed by Aidan O'Brien's exciting Whistlejacket – and the Group Three Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket, where Lake Victoria will bid to emulate her illustrious dam, Quiet Reflection, by landing a first Group event. Elsewhere, Anmaat will return to action after a lengthy absence in the Group 3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes.
