A winner of the Irish Oaks in July, Ralph Beckett's filly will step up beyond a mile and a half for the first time on the back of finishing second to Aidan O'Brien's Content in the Yorkshire equivalent last month.

Beckett will be bidding to land the final British Classic of the season for a second time, having saddled fellow filly Simple Verse to land the prize in 2015.

The addition of You Got To Me, who was supplemented for £50,000 by owners Valmont and Newsells Park Stud, took the field up to ten at the five-day entry stage, with trainer Aidan O'Brien responsible for five potential contenders.

His Irish Derby hero Los Angeles remains in contention, although connections have expressed their intent to run him alongside Auguste Rodin in the Irish Champion Stakes at the Curragh on the same day.

Despite Los Angeles's likelihood to be targeted elsewhere, team Ballydoyle remains with a complete stranglehold on the St Leger market, with bookmakers Paddy Power making Illinois their 13/8 favourite ahead of stablemates Jan Brueghel and Grosvenor Square. The former made it a perfect three from three with a hard-fought neck success in the John Pearce Racing Gordon Stakes at Glorious Goodwood, while the latter teed up a visit to the Town Moor with a striking twenty-length all-the-way triumph in the Irish St. Leger Trial Stakes on the Curragh.

Ralph Beckett's supplemented You Got To Me is the shortest of the home contingent at odds of 11/2, with Sunway, who was runner-up to Los Angeles in the Irish Derby, priced at 13/2 to claim Classic glory.

Charlie Appleby revealed leading British contender Ancient Wisdom, who had been the shortest-priced of the home nation prior to today's five-day entry stage, would not line up at Doncaster on Saturday.

"Ancient Wisdom will not be confirmed for the St Leger Stakes at today's five-day stage. The horse is in good form but will instead be aimed at an autumn campaign with his favoured ground conditions," explained a post on Godolphin's X account.

Epsom Derby fourth Deira Mile remains in contention alongside Align The Stars, Wild Waves and Euphoric.
