Marble Sands won the Listed Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase on Sunday, the feature race on the Carlisle card. David Killahena and Graeme McPherson's grey overcame a few jumping errors to over turn the favourite Colonel Harry, for jockey Kielan Woods. In the other Listed event on the card, the Houghton Mares Chase, Terresita was the impressive winner for Lucy Wadham and Gavin Sheehan, beating Grand National eighth Galia des Liteaux for the Skeltons.

The Group 3 Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh went the way of Dawn Rising for owner J P McManus. Joseph O'Brien's charged tracked the leader Lily Hart throughout and put the race to bed under a well-timed ride from Dylan Browne Mcmonagle. Favourite Harbour Wind – second in the Group 2 Prix Chaudenay – travelled keenly throughout and weakened in the closing stages to finish last.

The exciting Grade 2 winning hurdler Hillcrest is due to make his chasing debut at Exeter on Friday after an absence of two and a half years. Sent off a 9/4 favourite for the 2022 Albert Bartlett Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival for owner Trevor Hemmings, the gelding was pulled up and has not been seen since. He is set to face smart chasing prospects Captain Teague and Shanagh Bob in the Silver Bowl Novices Chase over three miles.
