Cliff Brown had mixed emotions after the Singapore Derby as one of his runners Clint won the race and the other Tenzing bled and had to be pulled up.
Clint has looked a steady horse if not super exciting this season but yesterday was his day and he surged
past Better Than Ever, who was dying on his run, to win like a good stayer. Trafalgar Legacy ran a verygood race to finish third and Flying Fulton, who was always in the mix, a fine fourth.
On Friday Ato continued his good progress in winning the Open, his fifth win from 8 starts, and he had to
get through traffic as well. Doraemon showed he was coming back well, with Over The Rainbow third andApache Crown fourth.
On Sunday the Paititi Gold Trophy over 1200m saw another impressive win for Argentinia import Argy
Bargy. Waikato ran a blinder with his 59kg impost to fly into second, with Merchant third and Excavatorfourth.
The Open 1600m was won by Tolmon Nika who raced on the pace and had strength in the finish, Utrillo
ran a fine second with favourite Urban Dancer one paced at the finish and third, and Aspen Heights justgetting the better of Alacarte for fourth.
