Winning Trainer: Danny O'Brien (Lachlan Curry speaking)
It's been a good November with this horse? "We've taken some time to get to know the horse and I think we're really starting to get him right now. We've got to thank Mark Sowerby for sending us the horse, he's a great supporter of the stable so it's always great to get a good winner for him."
What are the key things to figure out? He likes to bowl along at his own tempo like he did today. Blake rated him beautifully in front, just dictated things so that's kind of his racing pattern and that seems to really work for him."
Winning Jockey: Blake Shinn
The clock in your head would have been telling you quite a good story? "It sure was once I was able to find the top and have a controlled gallop in my favour. Danny O'Brien, we know he's one of the best staying trainers around, and a lot of these horses are untried at the trip, probably everyone of them, so I had confidence that he had the fitness in his legs to lead and tackle a strong headwind down the back. Although we had a soft time, he still had to do it; he did a good job."
