Royal Snitzel has followed up her impressive debut win with at Donald, winning the Ascend Trophies Handicap at an overcast Caulfield.
Royal Snitzel jumped well for jockey Dale Smith, cruising over to the box-seat, and from there she always looked in control.
She did still race greenly when the pressure went on, looking to lay in when Smith asked her to take over inside the 300m, but she had plenty in hand when she did get there and was able to hold of the fast finishing race favourite Zeletto.
Royal Snitzel races for United Syndications who also raced her dam, Royal Charades, who won eight races for trainer Mick Price.
"She's a lot like her mum", said Price.
"She's a smart, sharp filly. We went to Donald and she stargazed in the straight but she worked really well here during the week."
No firm decision has been made on where she heads next with Price to decide during the week.
"She's a light framed little thing, we'll decide what we are doing during the week," he said.
"Is she a black-type filly in the spring? Maybe."
