Racing NSW Stewards have allowed three jockeys to ride overweight in the Group 1 Schweppes Sydney Cup (3200m) at Randwick on Saturday.
Brenton Avdualla, Tim Clark and Jim Cassidy have all been booked to ride at 52kg but will be permitted to ride their respective mounts at 52.5kg.
Avdulla will partner the Darren Weir-trained Akzar with Tim Clark to ride Renew and Jim Cassidy to go back on board Grand Marshal for Chris Waller in the $1.6m race.
Hartnell, ridden by Tommy Berry remains the short priced $2.20 favourtie ahead of Who Shot Thebarman at $4.20.
