A capacity field has been assembled for South Australia’s first ever $1million event, the UBET Classic (1200m) at Morphettville on Saturday.

Acceptances confirmed a full field of 20 fillies and mares along with two emergencies for Saturday’s UBET Classic (1200m) at Morphettville.

Second in the 2016 UBET Classic, consistent mare Sheidel will be looking to go one better on Saturday and is presently second favourite ($5.50) behind the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained English.

The pair shape as the two class mares in the event along with last start winner Secret Agenda ($11.00).

The second of the two Group 1’s is the Schweppes Oaks (Australasian Oaks) where in form filly Kenedna is chasing a third straight win.

Trained by Darren Weir, the daughter of Not A Single Doubt is a ($3.00) favourite ahead of the Chris Waller-trained Egg Tart ($4.00).

Morphettville boasts a further four stakes events through the eight race program.

The Group 3 D C McKay Stakes (1100m) has attracted a field of 12 sprinters.
