Winning Trainer: Nick Ryan
"I've got some great owners in this horse and I think they got a bit of the 20s so they're really happy.
"Just a quick shout out to my farrier, John Bunting, he's done a good job with this horse. We were very confident going into Cup Day and he went amiss there but we've got him right.
"Aaron Mitchell has been doing a lot of work on him at trackwork and we were quite confident today. His jump out at Werribee was very, very good and it's just good to get a result for some great connections.
On Cup Day: "We knew he was going good and he just had to get his feet right. We changed his shoes. John Bunting put some pads on him and we just niggled around with him, got him right.
"I think Cup Day we got it wrong, the tactics were wrong. We went forward and he overraced. He's best smothered up and out late. He likes a bit of room.
"A few things were contributing factors and we got it right today so we'll just try and mirror that next time."
Winning Jockey: Rhys McLeod
"I knew a few of the owners pretty well. Obviously Nick and his team. The association with both, it's very good.
"Flemington, down the straight, no better feeling."
Cup Day turnaround: "Nick and his team know what they're doing. I put my two bobs in here and there but we're normally on the same page so the horse came here in good shape.
"The six furlongs I was a bit worried about but he was running it out strong.
"I knew six would be nearly too short for him so I was happy to roll on the leader and he toughed it out really well. To his credit second horse did too but to his credit our horse stuck his head out at the right time."
