Winning Trainer: Matt Williams (rep by Tyler Duynhoven)

Matt at Hamilton: "He went down there and got a couple of winners and on from last night."

The horse: "This girl has been super. She's been a little bit unlucky previously and sort of knocking on the door and we've got a high opinion of her and very happy to see her get it done.

"We had her pretty well ready to go. She only had one trial coming in just because the tracks were so wet but we'd done the most work we could on the galloping and she was ready to go."

Next: "We'll leave that up to the boss but there should be a few good mares races around for her."

Winning Jockey: Dean Yendall

"It's been worthwhile getting back to this point. I've said it time and time again, I wouldn't be able to do it if it wasn't for all the support back home, all the trainers and owners, and all the fans out there wishing me the cheerios."

The lower moments of his recovery: "I looked at it and I thought, to be honest, is this for me anymore?

"It was pretty gut wrenching. Not so much the way it happened but for my family and 'what if' it happens again if I fall off. That's always at the back of my mind.

"I had to brush that off, say toughen up, and what else are you going to do? There's nothing else in life after riding. I don't want to be a horse trainer and I think the golf is out the door. I was probably dreaming on that one.

"You never know. If you dream and dream, things may come true. At the moment it is back to horseriding and I actually love it this time around.

"Just a quick cheerio to mum and dad back at home. They had their 50th wedding anniversary yesterday."
