On the horse: "He has produced. The five week break didn't hurt him."
On the ride: "She (Angela Jones) rode him a treat. She's a great rider."
Winning Jockey: Angela Jones
On the horse: "He's such a tryer. No one out there deserved it more than him. He's been right there every start this preparation, but hasn't been able to crack the win. He definitely deserved it and it was great to ride a winner for 'Ducky'."
On the ride: "We were getting nudged out in the home corner and I just had to go probably a fraction earlier than I would've liked. I just wanted to keep him underneath me for another couple of strides but we were forced to go. It's just a credit to him to keep going and to dig deep and hold them off."
On the horses stride: "It's always been like that (awkward). I rode him as a two-year-old and I think I won one of his early races in Toowoomba and he's always been the same. We're thankful he is like that otherwise he probably would've been sold."
