Campbell Rawiller had a successful return to South Australia with a riding double at Gawler on Saturday.

Campbell Rawiller, who has quickly established himself as a leading rider over the jumps this season back in Victoria, scored aboard the Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained Jacks On Ice before continuing his great association with the Michael Hickmott prepared Exalted Fire who proved too strong for his rivals.

It was Rawiller's second win aboard the galloper who has been a model of consistency under the care of Hickmott having finished out of the top three just three times in 13 starts since joining his stable.

"He was really tough,'' Rawiller said.

"He did a bit of work early and was tough to the line,'' he said.

Talented apprentice Alana Livesey also had a riding double with Mintulee following up a good trial to win on debut for Ryan Balfour before she helped the Gary and Dean Alexander-trained Campobasso build on his brilliant heavy track record, the stable's first win since moving to their new training base at Murray Bridge.

"He just loves the wet,'' Gary Alexander said.

"He's just a different horse on the wet turf. He's a happy horse, we just try and keep him ticking over,'' he said.

The successful return to SA continued for Rawiller at Port Augusta on Sunday winning the City of Port Augusta Cup aboard the Garret Lynch trained Shiny Rock.

The former Riverina galloper maintaining his unbeaten record at Port Augusta with a dominant 4.9 length Cup win and taking his record to five wins from seven starts since finding his way to SA.

The Cup win overshadowed by a breakout day for apprentice Nichola Yuen riding four of the first five winners on the card.
