Will Clarken will chase a second successive Listed Balaklava Cup (1600m) with Ironclad who headlines nominations for next Wednesday’s $120,000 provincial feature.

Will Clarken won last year's edition with Noname Lane and will take two runners into the race alongside co-trainer Niki O'Shea with Silent Surrente also nominated.

Darwin Cup winner Write Your Name will tackle the race for trainer Dick Leech and was given a key hit-out for his return to the turf at the Murray Bridge trials on Thursday, while Ciaron Maher and David Eustace also have Thought Of That also coming back from Darwin in the race.

Leading Adelaide trainers Richard and Chantelle Jolly have three nominations including Regalo Di Gaetano, Pudding and Wild Imagination.

Victorian horseman Matt Laurie has nominated Delicious Tycoon, while the interesting nomination is Wild Chap who is trained at Kembla Grange in New South Wales by Brett Lazzarini

Of the 25 nominations only Regalo Di Gaetano and Texan Windstorm have won at Balaklava previously, while the Sam Burford trained Oh Mo was placed in last year's race.
