"It was very nerve-wracking just getting to the barriers, she was in a bit of a mood today. But she loves the wet and she loves the 1000 metres here, so we've had her set for this race for a long time. We did trial her the other day which I wouldn't usually do, but I'm really happy we did because it probably just gave her the fitness edge today. She was really down for the fight today."

"I think I've figured her out now, she needs to be fresh. She was very feisty today and she really gave it to me, so I had my work cut out. But I was pretty confident coming in, she trialled really well in the week and it's probably the best she's felt since I won on her last prep, and the race panned out nicely for us."
"She tries really hard. Some horses on Heavy tracks stop putting in, but she just finds another gear. She's got a really big heart and that was the difference today between winning and running second."
