The purchase prices, and point of sale, of this year’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic field.

Tony Gollan went through the Magic Millions experience with Outback Barbie and he purchased her daughter, Hi Barbie, in the hope she too would get to the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, a race in which Outback Barbie finished third.

But Queensland's premier trainer had to pay for the privilege.

Gollan went to $1.2 million for the daughter of I Am Invincible, the most he has ever spent on a yearling, at last year's January sale.

Hi Barbie is the most expensive yearling engaged in this year's Magic Millions 2YO Classic, the only horse who cost more than $400,000 guaranteed a start in this year's race, and will become easily the dearest horse to have won the race if successful.

Exhilarates, a $600,000 yearling who won the 2018 edition, currently holds that honour.

Last year's winner Storm Boy is the second most expensive at $460,000 with Away Game, who cost $425,000, the only winner who sold for more than $300,000.

Every runner in this year's field was bought out of the Gold Coast Sale ring, either at the January sale, in March or at the National Sale in early June, with their purchase prices listed below
