Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 16.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Tamworth, Corowa and Hamilton.
TAMWORTH: RACE 7 @ 5:20 PM
TOO DARN LOVELY (9) progressive filly with her hoof on the till third up. Sat on the speed and improved sharply when third over 950m at Moree in C3 grade on September 1. Maps well again and has the numbers to take this out. INDIAN THUNDER (7) tough old gelding who will find this much easier after jumping in grade and trip when seventh over 1200m at Mudgee on September 8. Trained on the track and has a good record here. YOU HAVE TO GO (10) nice return two back at Muswellbrook before disappointing when seventh over 1100m at Scone on August 30. Improver if he can find his best. The chances don't end there. WHISTLING STRAITS (3) is coming off a win at Dubbo on a soft track and in strong form scoring two wins with one placing from five outings this campaign, can measure up again.
SELECTIONS: Too Darn Lovely on top.

COROWA: RACE 5 @ 4:20 PM
In an ordinary maiden REASONABLE POINT (12) gets her chance. Didn't feature first-up over 1100m at Bendigo when in the market - perhaps the soft track was to blame. Finished less than four lengths away in the Group 2 Reisling when second-up last prep. Bolts in if she runs up to that form. FOUR ESSES (6) ran a nice race at Albury on debut then failed to finish off over 1000m at Wagga most recently. Might need six furlongs now so worth another chance. BOY BENNO (1) has been just fair in three runs this campaign, all at 1400m. Raced up on the speed with blinkers on last start so this trip might suit. YEAH MATE (11) and STEREO HEART (9) make their debuts and should be respected if any money comes their way.
SELECTIONS: If Reasonable Point is anywhere near her best she wins.
HAMILTON: RACE 2 @ 2:00 PM
SILVER CLIFF (12) resumed with a career best run at Warrnambool, showing speed to give a good sight before being run down late, beaten a nose in second. Fitter for that, she'll be very hard to catch. TELL US TOLL (13) resumes having run twice in her maiden campaign. She was good on debut when second at Terang before an even effort at Bendigo. Profiles nicely for this. PROVE IT ALL NIGHT (4) is a gelding by Brazen Beau on debut who can run well. MALARKEY (3) was okay on debut in a strong maiden and looks an improver.
SELECTIONS: Silver Cliff to win.
