Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 17.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Moruya, Mackay and Wodonga.
MORUYA: RACE 4 @ 2:50 PM
FOURCADE (3) is racing in career-best form and finds her race today after finishing a gritty fourth over 1400m at Rosehill in Highway grade on August 31. Well drawn with the claim and expected to go close. KOOL BIRD (9) was rewarded for her consistency when a tenacious maiden winner over 1210m at this track on August 30. Saves her best for this track and trip and expected to be thereabouts again. SOHO SUSHI (4) has a good record here and backs up quickly after jumping in class when a plugging ninth over 1200m at Randwick in Highway grade on September 7. One of the leading players. HURRICANE ABLOWING (2) mixing his form after winning well two back, before disappointing as a $1.90 fav when failing to get into the contest finishing fifth over 1280m at Canberra Acton on July 26. Not without each way prospects.
SELECTIONS: Fourcade to win.

MACKAY: RACE 2 @ 1:55 PM
WELL HELD (5) resumes here but the form he showed in his first preparation was more than good enough to be competitive in a race like this. Stanley sticks in the saddle and a strong run while fresh would not surprise. MARCH MADNESS (3) has been thereabouts in all four runs since joining the new stable and strikes a winnable contest here. Looms as the main danger. THE HOME TEAM (4) has placed two of three overall including a solid third over this track and trip last time out. In the mix. FRASER'S RIDGE (1) gets 3kg weight relief from the inside draw and can give this a shake.
SELECTIONS: Well Held to shed the maiden tag.
WODONGA: RACE 6 @ 3:30 PM
PRIVACY TOUR (6) led and won as expected at Benalla on debut over 1412m. The speedy galloper has threatened both starts this preparation and was a $3 favourite at Benalla last time. Egan is reunited and the Payne-trained galloper is the one to beat. LONELY ROAD (5) was a big Wangaratta Maiden winner and has been within range x2 since over this distance. Draws outside but is capable of pushing forward should connections elect. He's a leading hope. BANNOCKBURN (2) has been racing well on the synthetic. Has no luck last time following a tidy win. At his best on the turf and has a chance to bounce. THUNDER FORCE (7) deserved the Maiden win and maps for the run of the race. Peaks and could repeat the dose without surprise.
SELECTIONS: Backing Privacy Tour.
