Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 26.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Tamworth, Ararat and Mackay.
TAMWORTH: RACE 7 @ 4:50 PM
MY MATE KATE (3) sent to town second-up when a solid fifth over 1200m at Rosehill in Highway company on November 9. Set to peak third-up and has excellent figures over this course and distance. The one to beat. TAVROS (4) first-up after five months found the 1300m too short when seventh over 1300m at Moree Cl1 on November 1. Has a better second-up record and his lone win came over this trip. Sharp improver. ALWAYS SPLIT TENS (6) lightly raced gelding with upside. Resumes here after sitting on the speed when a plugging fourth over 1600m here on August 27. Returns with a trial over 1100m at Scone and his lone victory came over this track and trip. DEEBO (7) third-up today and won third-up previously. Gives the impression this extra distance will suit after running third over 1280m at Muswellbrook on November 3. One of the leading players.
SELECTIONS: My Mate Kate to win.
As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Tamworth Computer Card.
ARARAT: RACE 3 @ 2:00 PM
FLICK ROLL (7) peaks and has pieces of form that will make her very hard to beat. Meech rides and will push forward and give her every chance. TELL US TOLL (14) peaks off a tough 2L defeat at Kyneton and that stacks right up. She's likely to settle closer today and get every chance. FINNISH GIRL (6) disappointed at Warrnambool but made good improvement at Mortlake prior. The 2kg claim is handy. CROATIAN ART (5) resumes and would be a hope if presented forward. Egan is a positive jockey booking.
SELECTIONS: Backing Flick Roll.
MACKAY: RACE 3 @ 3:20 PM
ONE PERCENT (1) was only bloused right on the line when finishing runner-up by a nose at Rockhampton when making his debut there nearly 3 weeks ago. He will naturally improve from that effort and is ready to go one better. ME TIME (8) has been freshened up since failing to run on as expected last time out over 1200m at Rockhampton. She is better placed over this trip and can improve on a firmer surface. Each way. LADY DE VEGA (12) let down strongly from midfield when finishing second here 12 days ago and has 4kg less to carry this time thanks to a claim. She should settle closer to the pace with an extra 100m to travel here and can go one better. BOYFRIEND MATERIAL (7) has shifted from a Victorian stable to join Jared Wehlow who has a fantastic record with similar types. A market watch is recommended. JOHN'S ROAD (11) finished fourth here as favourite in his first start for local trainer Tracy Simmons. He is a quick improver and can get the job done. Follow your money.
SELECTIONS: One Percent to win.
