Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wellington, Hamilton, Hawkesbury, Ipswich and Pakenham.

WELLINGTON: RACE 2 @ 1:20 PM

BLING EMPIRE (6) was five-weeks between runs when down the track over this distance on a heavy track at Parkes last start. Flew home for second the run before over this course and distance after drawing wide. Great chance to break through with the help of a much better gate on firmer ground. DIVINE BELLE (7) turns out for a new stable after two runs in Victoria, the latest a tiring sixth over today's journey at Pakenham. Will find this maiden a little easier so this filly can make an immediate impact for the Garry Lunn yard. HOT GOSPEL (8) last appeared eight weeks ago when midfield over 2100m at Benalla. Transferred from Patrick Payne to Dar Lunn since that run. This is short of her best but while fresh she can mix it with these. OUR CELEBRITY (10) made it three minor placings from as many career starts when beaten narrowly over this trip at Parkes 11 days ago. Definite contender. The lightly raced DIAMOND SUN (1) can improve on a drier surface.
SELECTIONS: Bling Empire to score.

HAMILTON: RACE 5 @ 2:20 PM

DUKE OF BEDFORD (3) won a Ballarat Steeplechase two starts back then gave a great sight at Warrnambool last time. Looks ideally placed on this circuit and will be hard to beat. CARNAMAH (6) switches to the bigger jumps here after filling a place for the first time over jumps last time at Casterton. Slower tempo here is likely to suit. DR DEPENDABLE (7) mixes hurdling and steeplechase racing. Failed to get warm last time but will find this a better contest. Can bounce back. AQUILEON (8) took a tumble at the first outing over the bigger fences at Casterton last time. Is sure to learn from that mistake and can sneak into the money here.
SELECTIONS: Back Duke Of Bedford to win.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 5 @ 2:25 PM

MICKEY'S MEDAL (2) brings the strongest figures here and finds his right race today from the inside gate. Stalked the speed with a gritty seventh over 1600m at Scone two weeks ago. Will hold a forward position and McEvoy takes the ride. No excuses. GOOD ONCE (1) racing in career best form and has a good record over this track and trip. Charged late with the 59kg when a tough second over 1500m here on May 14. Looks one of the leading players again. JUNEBUG (4) imported mare who created a big impression at first Australian start when she cleared out for a slick maiden victory over 1280m at Muswellbrook on May 13. Has a ton of upside and expected to go close again. NEW FOREST (3) recorded his first win at start seven when ploughing through the heavy (8) going scoring by 1.75 lens over 1600m at Kembla Grange on May 18. In a top yard and has fitness on his side.
SELECTIONS: Mickey's Medal to win.

IPSWICH: RACE 7 @ 3:27 PM

Neasham-trained DARK THINKER (8) resumed with a hit out over a sprint. She won a Maiden here before the spell over this distance second up. Saved for this race and fitter will be hard to beat. INTENTIONAL LASS (5) has a wide gate to manage but has threatened twice since the CL1 win over this distance. Is back 530m in trip but has the top hoop aboard who'll give him a measured ride. In good hands and is a decent winning chance. ALPHA JANE (12) spiked her figures when beaten 1.7L at the Sunshine Coast over a mile. Sits down in the weights and maps for a soft run. Has claims holding the form. SAVILEO (2) needed the run at Eagle Farm first-up. He's proven second-up and needs this distance and longer. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Dark Thinker on an each-way basis.

PAKENHAM: RACE 8 @ 8:45 PM

GOLDEN ESTRELLA (10) is a lightly raced mare who resumed with a pass-mark second placing at Cranbourne over 1200m. She showed good promise in two runs in her debut campaign and with the added fitness she should go close. HOLA AMIGOS (5) ran well in this grade first up here, racing on speed and going down by just 0.6 lengths. Fitter for that, he draws well and still has plenty of upside. DUEL VENTURE (13) was just fair last time but had been good in two runs prior including a win first-up. Maps well here and looks a solid hope. NO NEW TRICKS (3) continues to race well and looks a strong each-way chance again.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Golden Estrella.
