Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 06.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wyong, Mackay, Geelong and Pinjarra.
WYONG: RACE 4 @ 1:55 PM
LILY BOBTAIL (7) Harry Angel filly who made a nice return when stalking the speed for a tough third over 1100m at Gosford on May 16. Strips much fitter now and looks one of the leading prospects. DU CAP (9) has a fitness edge over most of these and a win looks imminent. Came out hard early from the wide gate before tiring late when fourth over 1100m at Gosford on May 16. Well drawn today and no excuses from the good gate. INDIAMO (4) kept fresh for this and back in distance after tiring late over 1350m here on April 11. Blinkers go on and looks a solid each-way prospect. KWYJIBO (3) Curtis trained three-year-old gelding by Showtime on debut. Won all four trials in good style and forward showing expected.

MACKAY: RACE 5 @ 2:55 PM
TERMINUS (1) resumes and his racing has been in Victoria for a top barn. Trialled twice recently for a Brisbane yard and has since switched to Peter Fleming. Not sure what to make of all that, but two-back was an easy Maiden winner at Bendigo over this distance, so he's certainly good enough. He has the early speed to use the rail and Butler's booking suggests he's pleasing. ROC DE RUSSIAN (3) is a former Victorian having his third outing for the Pomfrett stable. He has the first-time blinkers applied and is ready to show his best. Maps for the run of the race and Stanley sticking aboard is a decent push for his chances. CASA FAGLIANO (9) is on the improve and brings a big Emerald Maiden win. She will be around the mark along with last start Bowen winner CHILLI PALMER (11).

GEELONG: RACE 7 @ 3:30 PM
SHULTZY (1) made a stack of ground first-up at Warrnambool and backed it up with a good showing in town last time. Is much better placed against this lot and should be hard to stop. BOGA LEGEND (7) got on the board with a stylish victory at Pakenham last time. Is lightly-raced and is showing plenty of promise. Won't be far away. GIMME GOLD (5) backed up a solid run during the Warrnambool Carnival with an even effort here last time. Looks better off this time and can bounce back. TRIGGERIFIC (10) ran below expectations at Pakenham last time after producing a solid effort at Cranbourne prior to that. Fresh for this and can turn things around.
SELECTIONS: Back Shultzy to win.
PINJARRA: RACE 5 @ 5:13 PM
DOCTOR JAY (1) made an impression in his debut campaign, coming through some strong form races prior to the spell. He's since trialled well at Belmont and Steve Parnham sticks with the gelding. Can make an immediate impact on resumption as he looks destined for bigger and better races. SENSESSIONAL (7) gets Pike in the saddle first-up with just the one trial under his belt. He's been well-fancied in stronger races than this and he maps for a nice run from barrier 5. Can put it all together now and notch up his second win. KINGS SALUTE (2) showed plenty of class in a good Open 3YO event at Belmont 19 days ago. Chris Parnham returns to the saddle as he drops back to a much easier race. Back in trip is a slight niggle, but there's no doubt about his capabilities. CRIMMO (6) is ticking along nicely, finishing just 0.7L away at Belmont last start. Include. LOST GRAVITY (3) ran on strongly last time out and out in trip looks to suit. Won't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Doctor Jay can return a winner.
