Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Randwick, Eagle Farm, Morphettville Parks, Belmont Park, and Flemington.

RANDWICK: RACE 9 @ 3:05 PM

Group 3 winner SEMILLION (11) returned to form with smart on-pace victory over 1200m in the LR Takeover Target (Pacesetter) Stakes at Newcastle on May 11. Goes just as well over this trip and will prove hard to stop again. Worth noting he's undefeated on the heavy tracks. IOWNA MERC (16) underrated gelding who returned good final sectional splits when a fast finishing third in the LR Ortensia Stakes over 1100m at Scone on May 18. Goes even better second-up and saves his best for this track and trip. FIRE LANE (18) three runs back have been okay and finally draws a decent gate. Trapped wide with the 58kg when a plugging eighth over 1000m here on May 25. On the limit today and has each way prospects. WITH YOUR BLESSING (7) comes here after a fifth in the Ortensia Stakes won by Opal Ridge three weeks ago over 1100m at Scone. Tough to beat on best form.
SELECTIONS: Semillion to win.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 3 @ 12:53 PM

AEMELIUS (8) showed good progress at just her second race start to get the job done at Randwick and will have derived a stack of confidence from that victory. Gets Kah on from the favourable draw and this is not the strongest Listed race you'll ever see. Can go right on with it now. CANARA (9) is still a maiden but has hit the top-five in all six starts to date and looks to be nearing an elusive win. A strong showing wouldn't surprise. IMPERIALIST (5) gets the deadly Waller/McDonald combination and cannot be ignored. Respect any market confidence. DUE CALZINI (2) broke through last start and has earned his shot at this level now. Top-three conveyance. ITALIAN DANCER (4) has been in the mix in all three starts so far and may earn some minor money again.
SELECTIONS: Aemelius to go back-to-back.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 3 @ 1:12 PM

MASTER MONTARO (1) has been knocking on the door back in Vic since scoring earlier in the prep at Sandown-Lakeside. Drops back in trip with 34 days between runs but has kept the legs ticking over with a soft trial. The booking of leading hoop Jake Toeroek for the smart Hayes trio is a big push for his chances. Ready to win again. TOSEN WATER (7) is yet to threaten this time in but has contested some nice form races. Interesting to note that the blinkers go on first time. Could prove the trick. EAMONN'S MEMORY (3) hasn't put a foot wrong in his last two, recording back-to-back barnstorming victories. Tougher this time but can continue on his winning ways. CARARADA (10) found the line nicely last week at HQ when finishing third. On the quick back-up and should appreciate the rise in trip. Winning hope. WONDERWOMEN (2) has shown positive signs in both runs back. Strips fitter third up and can make her presence felt.
SELECTIONS: Master Montaro to win.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 2 @ 2:34 PM

GODDESS OF GIVING (6) hits this third-up and full of running after a narrow defeat over this course and distance last time out. Blinkers come off now and she draws down low this time around. Hard to knock her recent performances and she's won 2/3 at this track and trip. Can get the job done this time. RUSSIAN TO THE BAR (4) won a couple of Listed events over further last campaign, but he isn't out of place over the sprint trip first-up. He has performed well fresh in the past and he can land in a nice position from the draw. Expecting him to be strong late. CASH AWAY (3) held on to edge of Goddess Of Giving first-up but does tend to dip in his ratings second-up. Hard to ignore what he did last start though and a while he rises in weight, he should be in the finish once again. YONGA LASS (2) is a Group 3 winner on resumption. May be looking for further, but her recent trial was good and she can return in good order.
SELECTIONS: Goddess Of Giving can go one better this time.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 7 @ 3:20 PM

CARBONADOS (6) resumes and can take this out. He made his Australian debut first-up last campaign with a strong win at Geelong. The market has a strong opinion of him, sending him out at $4 in the G3 Manfred Stakes the next start when pulling up lame. He's jumped out well and looks a solid chance at odds. RIGHT TO PARTY (12) ran on well first up in a very messy finish at G3 level in Adelaide. Will be hard to hold out. STEEL CITY (1) was a very smart 2yo but didn't come up last preparation and was spelled again. She's good enough. PIVOT CITY (3) will be thereabouts.
SELECTIONS: Backing Carbonados.
